Home Sweet Home

I imagine most of us have been up a while, given that it is afternoon in France!  I hope everyone has a relaxing day catching up with their families.

When I got home last night, I found your emails inquiring about the flight details - I am sorry I wasn't able to answer you right away - obviously, you all figured it out and got the message from your children.  I wish I could have kept up with the blog while we were "on the road," but it became very difficult once we left our host families to find free wifi access.  At the hostel in Paris on Tues and Wed nights, there was no way, short of paying a ridiculous fee, to get on the internet to work on the blog or check my email or get information to you (nor was there much time to do so).  By the time we got back to Sucy on Thursday, we were all in a crunch to pack and get to bed so that we could get up early and get to school by 6am.  During the 18 hours it took us to get from Sucy to Cohasset, I am sure the kids found the opportunity to get in touch with you, but I unfortunately was unsuccessful in connecting :(  Anyway, you were all there waiting at the right time and I know your kids were glad to see you.

After unpacking and catching up at home today, I will post further photos and details about what we did the last few days for those who are interested.

Thanks again for trusting us to introduce your children to the French culture and people that we appreciate so much.  In spite of our terrible weather karma this time around, this year's exchange was uncommonly angst-free thanks to the terrific open and cooperative and thoughtful attitude of all the students involved.  I hope that they all agree that this is an experience they will never forget.

(BTW, we won't let them forget because any journals - in rough draft form - that were not turned in and commentated before we got home are due on Monday!)
